Avian Encounter
Taking a break from my jog,
Sit on a bench beside the street,
Pigeons and sparrows draw near
Assuming they will get something to eat,
The sparrows lined up, neatly, in a row,
I've got nothing to give them though,
As the day disappears into afterglow...
