Ancient Coding
An instinct to survive, and
Not be eaten alive, remains,
Somewhere deep in the
Reptilian parts of our brains...
And it sometimes gets
Triggered, before we realize,
By cat yowls, canine growls
Or crows' guttural-raptor cries...
