Beneath the waves of the East China Sea,
Sunk in desperate battle, many decades ago,
Lie the rusted steel and long-lost souls,
Of the Japanese Navy battleship Yamato...
There, now, fishermen drag their nets,
To catch what will become imported sushi,
Served in Shanghai under Sino-sunsets,
All unimagined by those battleship sailors,
Who died for their Emperor, with few regrets...
